XRT Diamond Tools at Xiamen Stone Fair 2022: Growing Through Change

From July 30 to August 2, 2022, the 22nd China Xiamen International Stone Fair was held at the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center.

It was a unique period for the global stone industry.

International travel, supply chains and face-to-face business activities were still experiencing significant changes, but the industry's need for products, technology and communication never disappeared.

XRT Diamond Tools participated in the 2022 Xiamen International Stone Fair.

For XRT, attending an exhibition is not simply about putting diamond segments and saw blades on a booth.

The more important purpose is simple:

Stay close to the market and understand the real problems customers are facing.

A Small Diamond Segment Can Solve a Big Problem

A diamond segment is physically only a small part of a stone cutting blade.

For a stone processing factory, however, it can directly affect:

  • Cutting speed

  • Tool life

  • Slab quality

  • Cutting stability

  • Machine load

  • Processing cost per square meter

  • Overall productivity

This is why a small diamond segment can sometimes lead to a very long technical discussion.

Why does one segment cut extremely fast but wear quickly?

Why does another last longer but feel less sharp?

Why can the same segment behave differently on two types of granite?

There is rarely one simple answer.

At XRT, we believe the value of a diamond tool is not simply in producing and selling the product.

The real value comes from matching the tool with the customer's stone, machine and cutting conditions.

More Than Products at Xiamen Stone Fair 2022

During the exhibition, XRT communicated with customers about different diamond tool applications, including:

Diamond Segments

Solutions for granite, marble, sandstone, limestone and other natural stones, with formulations adjusted according to hardness, abrasiveness and machine conditions.

Diamond Saw Blades

Saw blade solutions for different diameters and processing applications, including bridge saws, single-blade machines and multi-blade systems.

Multi-Blade and Multi-Disc Segments

Tools designed for continuous block and slab processing where cutting speed, service life and stability must be carefully balanced.

Diamond Wire Saws

Solutions for quarrying, block cutting and other natural stone applications.

However, a product specification is only the beginning of the conversation.

We want to understand:

Where is the customer located?

What stone are they cutting?

What machine are they using?

What problem are they currently experiencing?

Do they need more cutting speed or longer tool life?

These questions help us recommend a more suitable diamond tool.

Why One Diamond Formulation Cannot Cut Every Stone

Customers sometimes ask:

“Which is your best diamond segment?”

For us, there is no meaningful answer without understanding the application.

Granite itself varies significantly.

Some materials are extremely hard but relatively less abrasive.

Others may not be the hardest stone, but they consume the metal bond quickly.

Marble, sandstone and limestone have completely different cutting characteristics.

Machine power, blade diameter, cutting depth, feed speed and operator settings also influence performance.

That is why at XRT we define a good diamond segment differently:

The best segment is the one that best matches the actual stone and machine conditions.

What Does a Diamond Tool Manufacturer Really Accumulate?

Machines can be purchased.

Raw materials can be sourced.

Production equipment can be upgraded.

But one thing takes years to build:

Experience.

How should diamond concentration be adjusted for a particular granite?

When should the bond be softer?

When is higher wear resistance required?

Why does a segment behave differently after the customer changes machines?

Many of these answers come from repeated real-world experience:

Production.

Testing.

Customer feedback.

Sometimes failure.

Then another adjustment.

This process may not look dramatic, but it is one of the most important parts of professional diamond tool manufacturing.

XRT Culture: Bring the Problem Back

Every manufacturer likes hearing a customer say:

“Your product works very well.”

But another type of feedback can sometimes be even more valuable:

“This part could be improved.”

XRT encourages a simple approach.

When a customer raises a problem, bring the problem back to the team.

Study the cutting conditions.

Review production.

Analyze the formulation.

Then determine what can be improved.

Industrial tools always operate under real and sometimes complex conditions.

For XRT, facing problems, understanding them and finding solutions are all part of continuous product development.

An Industry Exhibition Is Also a Place to Learn

One interesting aspect of a professional stone exhibition is that customers are not the only people you meet.

There are stone producers.

Machine manufacturers.

Tool companies.

Designers.

Distributors.

And professionals from many parts of the stone industry.

A discussion with a customer helps us understand the market.

A conversation about a new machine can help us understand changing cutting conditions.

A new type of stone may make us reconsider how a diamond formulation should perform.

This is why XRT sees exhibitions as more than sales events.

They are also places to learn.

A diamond tool manufacturer cannot focus only on what it produces today.

It must also understand how stone materials, machinery and customer requirements are changing.

More Than 20 Years in Diamond Tools

By 2022, XRT had been involved in the diamond tool industry for more than 20 years.

During those years, the market changed significantly.

Machines changed.

Stone products changed.

Customer expectations for cutting speed, efficiency and quality continued to increase.

But XRT's core focus remained relatively simple:

Understand stone, understand cutting and develop better-matched diamond tools.

Our product range includes:

  • Diamond Segments

  • Diamond Saw Blades

  • Diamond Wire Saws

  • Granite Cutting Tools

  • Marble Cutting Tools

  • Customized Diamond Tools

Products continue to evolve, but the objective remains the same:

To help customers achieve stable, efficient and economically competitive stone cutting performance.

Building Long-Term Partnerships in a Changing Market

The business environment of 2022 reminded many companies about the importance of supply chains, stable production and communication.

For XRT, it also reinforced another important principle:

Trust takes time to build.

A customer may first discover a Chinese diamond tool manufacturer through an exhibition, an inquiry or an introduction.

Then comes a sample.

Then a cutting test.

Then the first order.

After that, products may be adjusted based on actual performance.

Long-term partnerships are often built through this process step by step.

XRT aims to become a long-term diamond tool partner for stone processors and distributors rather than simply a supplier for one transaction.

More Than an Exhibition

Looking back at the 2022 Xiamen International Stone Fair, what mattered was not only the products displayed.

It was the industry's continued willingness to communicate, learn and move forward during a period of significant change.

For XRT Diamond Tools, every customer conversation helps us better understand the global stone market.

Every technical question can become the starting point for the next product improvement.

And every exhibition reminds us of something simple:

For a manufacturing company, products, technology, responsibility and long-term trust remain the foundations of sustainable growth.

We appreciate everyone in the stone industry who communicated with XRT during the 2022 Xiamen International Stone Fair.

We look forward to continuing the journey and meeting more stone industry partners around the world.
